Who We Are
Annikki was formed with the goal of improving lives with cleaner and less expensive chemical manufacturing. We developed a cell-free redox enzyme platform to produce high purity, low-cost chemicals with low energy consumption. We use nature derived raw materials like straw, stover and corn.
In order to maximize the efficiency when starting from lignocellulosic biomass (straw, stover…), we are dissolving the biomass stepwise and in this way are able to cleanly separate the primary components thereof (cellulose, lignin, derivatives of 5-carbon sugars).
Every product we obtain thus retains its chemical reactivity. By virtue of its respective high purity and reactivity, we can carry it forward in subsequent, serial, one-pot reactions to precious end products.
